Lobster Stuffed Mushrooms

Lobster Gram a Chicago based company has many good recipes with seafood. I found this very tasteful Lobster Stuffed Mushrooms and wanted to share with our readers.

Lobster Gram says the Lobster Stuffed Mushrooms recipe makes a huge hit as a pre-dinner hors d'oeuvre for a special occasion, or a gathering of your most special family or friends. The recipe makes 18-20 stuffed mushrooms.

Ingredients:
18-20 Large stuffing mushrooms
1/4 cup green onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced or crushed
1/4 cup margarine or butter
2/3 cup dry seasoned bread crumbs
1/2 lb. lobster meat (1 1/2 c.), drained & chopped
2/3 cup goat cheese, crumbled or chopped

Preheat oven to 425°. Wash and drain mushrooms. Remove and discard the stems, and place caps upside down on a baking sheet. Melt margarine or butter in a medium saucepan, and add the onion and garlic. Cook until tender. Stir cooked onion and garlic with bread crumbs, lobster meat and goat cheese in a medium mixing bowl. Spoon crumb mixture into mushroom caps. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until heated through and bubbly.

Lobster Gram tips about how to keep lobsters.
Do not keep a lobster alive in fresh water with ice. Fresh water in any form (even ice) is lethal to a Lobster Gram lobster. A lobster has salty blood and tissue, which requires a seawater environment to maintain life. Also remember, Maine lobsters turn red after they are cooked.
